'Tis the Season for Waterfalls - A portfolio of seasonal cascades and ephemeral cataracts
“A waterfall cannot be silent, just as the wisdom! When they speak, the voice of power speaks!” -Mehmet Murat ildan
Arizona is full of beautiful secrets: Spring wildflower blooms, petrified wood, the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world. But few gems are overlooked as much as the hidden waterfalls in secluded canyons that spring to life every year after winter rains. Some waterfalls flow like clockwork every March and April, while others are more difficult to catch, taking form for less than a week each year after heavy rain, only to return to a dry cliff after the storms pass and the bedrock dries up. I’ve spent many seasons chasing these waterfalls and making images, attempting to capture the wonder that I feel whenever I discover one of these secret oases. The resultant images are a collection of scenes that few people, even the most seasoned Arizona explorers, have been lucky enough to witness.
